Australian Survivor: Titans V Rebels winner revealed as one contestant walks away with an Aussie first

Feras Basal won the grand final of Australian Survivor: Titans V Rebels on Tuesday evening.

Making the announcement, the Western Sydney HR manager said he was proud of his historic win.

“To be the first Aussie Arab to win Survivor is such a huge flex,” he said.

“To show off my culture and show everyone where I come from and my community is such a huge achievement. I’m so proud of myself.’

He continued: “I’m absolutely over the moon. For a million years I didn’t think I could make it in Survivor, let alone win the bloody game. I’m literally still shaking.”

‘This is my chance to show my parents that there are so many ways to make it in Australia.

“It would make me so proud to represent my community as the first man from the Middle East to win Australian Survivor,” he concluded.

Feras left the series with the $500,000 prize after being crowned Sole Survivor.

He had fought for the final victory with Caroline Courtis, the underdog of the season.

Also in the running was Mark Warnock who was sent to the judges in third place.

Feras achieved great performances during the competition, including spending more than two hours on the Ferris wheel, securing his position in the top three.

“I want to be the sole survivor because I feel like I can prove that a little old Arab man from Western Sydney can win this thing,” Feras said beforehand.

‘I want to prove people wrong and show little seven-year-old Feras that he can do something like this. I want to be the minority that takes over the majority. I’m a rebel through and through.’
