Chilling last post of Aussie tourist, 28, before he was repeatedly stabbed in Bali nightclub row over his girlfriend – as police claim they know who started the wild brawl

An Australian FIFO worker who was stabbed repeatedly while on holiday in Bali shared a chilling Instagram post just before the attack – as it could reveal how police believe the fight started.

Peter Noel Sidney Nye, 28, and his friend Izaeah Wilson, both from Queensland, claim they were attacked outside a mini-mart in Kuta early on Friday morning.

Mr Nye suffered serious injuries to his head, face and arms and told medical staff he had been stabbed after arriving alone at the hospital around 9am on Friday.

Just hours earlier, he shared an Instagram post with the caption: “Never been a victim, never been a target.”

He also shared a photo of him and Mr Wilson shirtless at Bali Airport with their partners, saying they had missed their flight home.

A police source in Bali told Daily Mail Australia that Mr Nye and Mr Wilson had been at the Shi-Shi Night Club in Seminyak in southern Bali with Mr Nye’s girlfriend, Scarlett Carruthers.

The source said a man from Ivory Coast allegedly harassed Ms Carruthers before the three of them left the nightclub.

Mr Nye and Mr Wilson then dropped Ms Carruthers off at their villa before going to buy beer at a shop in North Kuta district.

There they encountered the same person who allegedly harassed Ms Carruthers, along with another man.

The fight broke out after someone allegedly shouted ‘f*** you’ at the two Australians.

They allegedly assaulted each other with their bare hands and beer bottles, with the two Australian men suffering deep cuts to their heads, necks, chests and arms.

After the attack, Mr Nye posted a photo of his medical report at the hospital, saying he was admitted on Friday and discharged on Saturday.

According to the report, he was injured around 6 a.m. Friday and told medical staff that he “got into an argument and was attacked by some strangers.”

“According to the patient, he was stabbed multiple times in the head and arms,” the report said.

Mr Nye’s girlfriend, Ms Carruthers, said he and Mr Wilson were both attacked by a group of men outside the supermarket.

On a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for their spiraling medical bills, Ms Carruthers claimed they had tried to get an ‘early night ready for our flight home the next day’ – which appears to contradict the police version of events.

“My partner and his friend were ultimately stabbed more than 20 times to the face, neck, head, eyes, chest, both arms and ear,” Ms Carruthers said.

She said Mr Nye almost lost his sight and now has to undergo cosmetic surgery, while Mr Wilson has suffered extensive blood loss.

Mr. Nye now faces a $50,000 hospital bill, while Mr. Wilson’s medical bills total $15,000.

Mrs Carruthers admitted they were ‘stupid’ and ‘forgot’ to take out travel insurance, with the hospital telling them they could not complete the operation unless they paid in advance.

She has since had one GoFundMe to help cover medical costs, which has raised nearly $5,500 to date.

Daily Mail Australia suggests no wrongdoing on behalf of the men.

The Bali attack is not the first time Mr Nye has been stabbed. In December 2019, he experienced a similar attack, which left him with post-traumatic stress disorder.

He also has a lengthy criminal history and pleaded guilty to dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, which was treated as a domestic violence offense following an incident with his girlfriend in March 2020.

Mr Nye was high on cocaine and MDMA when he turned on his partner during a terrifying encounter in a Maroochydore shopping center car park.

He was sentenced to 12 months in prison for the incident, but was granted immediate parole. He was also banned from driving for nine months.

Mr Nye also has drug possession and assault charges to his name.
