Australian shoppers rage after popular Arnott’s biscuit quietly disappears from supermarket shelves

Australian consumers are shocked after discovering one of their favourite biscuits has disappeared from supermarket shelves.

Arnott’s Nice biscuits ($2.50) are the latest product to suffer supply chain issues, having been unavailable at Coles and Woolworths for months.

While thousands of people feared that the cookies would no longer be available, FEMAIL can confirm that they will soon be back on the shelves.

“Our delicious Arnott’s Nice biscuits are temporarily experiencing a delay in deliveries and are expected to be back on shelves within a few weeks,” an Arnott’s spokesperson said.

Customers are expressing their frustration online, often asking for an exact date when the cookies will be available again.

Australians have been facing a series of supply issues recently, with popular treats such as banana Nesquik and Fantales also being pulled from stores.

‘I’ve noticed that there isn’t much variety in biscuits like there is in my local Woolworths. All my favourites have gradually disappeared from the shelves over the years,’ said one shopper online.

“This should never happen in Australia as the biscuits are made in Queensland,” one person commented.

A few people recommended Aldi’s Nice biscuit version as ‘the perfect alternative’.

Australians are also heading to Aldi for an imitation of one of the country’s most beloved sweets: Tim Tams.

Thousands of people have complained that a standard pack of 11 Tim Tams cigarettes now costs $5. In some parts of Australia, the price has even risen to $11.70.

This bargain hunter is receiving huge praise online, with mums across the country claiming Aldi’s knock-off is ‘even better’ than Arnott’s snack.

‘Who likes Tim Tams, but the Aldi version,’ wrote one customer in the popular Facebook group Aldi Mums. ‘They are much better.’

‘My partner just ate a whole pack in one sitting while I was reading this,’ said one Aldi fan. ‘They are very tasty.’

“I agree, the chocolate tastes much better on the Aldi version,” wrote a third.

Aldi’s version only comes in one flavour, while Tim Tams offers more options including café latte, salted caramel brownie, white chocolate and more.
