Australian shoppers are scratching their heads over Aldi’s bizarre new Christmas range
Aldi Australia has dropped a range of Christmas roasts, but some of them have left shoppers scratching their heads.
There is a selection of main courses of roast turkey, chicken or seafood, including a salmon wellington with a prosecco-infused cheesy sauce, as well as a 'Turhamken' and a 'Turducken'.
For those who can't decide between serving turkey, chicken or ham, you can pair them all with Aldi's Fresh Turhamken Roast with Fig, Honey and Sage Filling for $22.99 per kilo.
Similarly, there's the Turducken for $22.99 per kilo, which combines turkey duck and chicken into one roast that comes with prosecco-flavored sprinkles and cranberry-infused butter.
Some foodies called the roast meat combo an “abomination,” while others said they bought it as a “gimmick” in previous years.

Some customers weren't so convinced about the new Salmon Wellington with cheese sauce, prosecco and watercress for $9.99 a two-pack.
Although there are no reviews of the dish yet as it has just hit the shelves, many said Aldi's everyday salmon boots were 'divine' without the prosecco and watercress.
Other roasts on offer more traditionally associated with Christmas dinner include the Fresh Free Range Whole Turkey at $11.49 per kilo.
New to Aldi's Christmas range: the half half deboned turkey with cranberry, pistachio and sage stuffing, spiced herbs and butter disk for $22.99 per kg and the fresh roast turkey breast with bacon rack, pumpkin stuffing and honey glaze for $29.99 per kg.
Also new to Aldi shelves this Christmas is fresh whole roast RSPCA approved chicken with apple, cranberry and honey filling for $6.99 per kg.
Seafood lovers can get the $27.99 fresh Tasmanian salmon side with citrus and cranberry glaze or a kilo of freshly cooked Australian black tiger prawns for $29.99.
