Australian Olympic hockey player is ‘arrested on suspicion of buying cocaine in Paris’
An Australian hockey player has been arrested on suspicion of selling cocaine in Paris.
European crime reporter Jean-Baptiste Marty broke the news of the alleged arrest on Wednesday evening via X, formerly Twitter.
“A member of the Australian hockey team was arrested last night after buying cocaine on the street in the 9th arrondissement of Paris,” he said.
‘The seller, who had 75 ecstasy pills, 3 grams of 2 MMC and seven bottles of cocaine, was also arrested.’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Australian Olympic Committee and Hockey Australia for comment.
It is not known whether the arrested athlete is male or female, but both Australian teams, the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras, were eliminated from the quarter-finals earlier this week.
More to come.
