Australian National University stabbing: at least three people injured

- Fellows Oval at the library has been cordoned off
Two people were reportedly stabbed and another attacked at the Australian National University in Canberra.
Police were called to the university just before 3pm on Monday after reports of a stabbing.
One person is in custody, two have been taken to hospital with stab wounds and a third has reportedly been assaulted.
One of the victims is believed to be a woman in her twenties.

ANU has warned students to ‘stay away’ from Fellows Oval, near Chifley Library.
‘An incident has occurred on campus. The police are on site and have the situation under control. One person is in custody,” the university tweeted.
ACT police have said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Students received a message via the university’s security app at the time of the attack.
“Police are on scene and one person is in custody,” the alert said.

A woman was seen being wheeled away on a stretcher by paramedics near the library.
The people involved were reportedly in different parts of the university at the time.
It is unclear whether the victims are students or staff members.
