Australian model Ellie Gonsalves is criticized for her see-through wedding dress: ‘What you share with everyone should only be for your husband’

An Australian model with more than a million followers on Instagram has received criticism for her ‘naked’ wedding dress.

Ellie Gonsalves, 33, spared no expense for her lavish Gold Coast wedding, as she had three different white dresses for her big day.

Her main dress for the ceremony for her partner Ross Scutts featured long sleeves, an illusion neckline and a dramatic train.

However, it was the influencer’s third dress to receive a plethora of negative comments, with many saying it was inappropriate for a wedding.

Ellie posted a video to Instagram of her walking to her bridal party in the barely visible dress.

She captioned the clip: “My husband’s face when he saw me unveiled in this dress at our wedding.”

The bride paired the ‘naked’ corset style wedding dress with a pair of strappy silver heels.

Some of her followers said the revealing mini dress looked more like lingerie as it had sheer tulle and a very high thigh slit.

One person wrote, “What you share with everyone should be for your husband only.”

While another commented: ‘Soon people will be going to weddings in their bikinis. That way you can see more skin, right?’

And a third said, ‘I’m sorry, but this is not a good dress for the wedding. Dress modestly!’

However, many of Ellie’s loyal followers defended her choice of clothing, and the bride herself later hit back at her haters.

One person commented that she looked “fast and loose” on her wedding day and Ellie hit back, writing, “The only thing that’s fast and loose was your mother’s hands when she dropped you on your head as a child.”

Some of her followers said the revealing mini dress looked more like lingerie as it had sheer tulle and a very high thigh slit.

The bride then shared a screenshot of this comment on her Instagram, adding, “What’s that line? If you hand it out, be ready to take it? I can’t believe people are so offended by a wedding dress.’

Ellie responded to another troll, writing, “FFs lighten up girl. It’s a dress at a wedding of someone you don’t know. If you don’t like it, change the channel. Simple as that.’

According to Fashion Australiathe influencer teamed up with designer Sam Oglialoro and stylist Paul Versace for her three wedding dresses.

Ellie told the publication, “We got married the way we started, just him and me. Celebrating our love in the most special way we can imagine.’
