Australian man, 35, found stabbed to death in Thailand as police arrest American man he’d ‘argued with at a restaurant’

An Australian man has been stabbed to death at a tourist attraction in Thailand after getting into an argument with an American in a restaurant.

Liam Michael Ross, 35, was found early this morning with stab wounds to his abdomen, leg and arm on Ao Nang beach in Krabi.

He was rushed to hospital but later died of his injuries.

Ao Nang police have arrested US citizen Randall Owen Johnson for the stabbing and charged him with causing bodily harm to another person resulting in death.

Witnesses said both men had been drinking at a nearby restaurant before the incident and had gotten into an argument.

They reportedly met again as the Australian man walked back to his hotel, leading to a confrontation.

At first the two exchanged words, but soon a physical fight broke out.

Johnson allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Ross multiple times.

Ao Nang is a popular tourist destination in Krabi Province, Thailand.

It is known for its nightlife and beaches.
