Hill rose to fame as a cricketer when he was still a teenager.

He captained the Australian side at the 2008 Under-19 World Cup after taking on the same role for Victoria in the Under-19s in 2007.

The left-handed batsman also played for Tasmania and the Hobart Hurricanes.
