Australia Zoo matriarch Terri Irwin hugs her son Robert and his girlfriend Rorie Buckey as they fly to Melbourne for a family trip
Robert Irwin’s new girlfriend Rorie Buckey reportedly had to win over his family by being willing to get out into nature.
And it seems Robert’s mother Terri Irwin is impressed with her efforts and welcomes her with open arms.
On Friday, the 59-year-old Irwin matriarch hugged her son and his girlfriend as they flew into Melbourne.
The trio carried their belongings as they walked through the airport after getting off the plane.
Terri seems to be very close to her son’s new girlfriend, as all three were spotted affectionately in the terminal.

They were all disguised as Rorie, the late Heath Ledger’s niece, and looked stylish in an all-black ensemble.
She was wearing black baggy jeans, a black long-sleeved top and white sneakers.
The physiotherapy student kept her shoulder-length blonde locks in a loose wave as she paired it with a straw hat and black shoulder bag.

Despite only recently making their relationship public, Terri appears to be very close to her son’s new girlfriend as all three were seen cuddling in the terminal.

Despite being off duty, Robert looked every bit an Australia Zoo employee as he wore a monochrome khaki look.
He walked through the terminal in straight-leg khaki jeans and a polo shirt, while wearing a matching color jacket.
Meanwhile, Terri looked cool but comfortable for the short-haul flight as she donned jeans, a maroon shirt and a long black coat.
The trio looked happy as they made their way to a waiting car.
Although Robert and Rorie only recently went public with their relationship, they have been dating since November 2022.

He walked through the terminal in khaki straight-leg jeans and a polo shirt, while wearing a matching khaki jacket.
This is despite the fact that they live on opposite sides of the country, with Robert in Queensland and Rorie in Western Australia, where she studies at the prestigious Curtin University in Perth.
They both come from famous Australian families, as Robert is the son of the late conservationist Steve ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ Irwin, while Rorie is the niece of the late Oscar-winning actor Heath Ledger.
According to Woman’s Day, an insider said Terri and Robert’s sister Bindi, 25, are impressed by Rorie’s dedication to Australian nature.
They added that Rorie was “determined not to let Robert down and to show him – and his mother and sister – that she is not just a puff piece.” And she blew them away.”
