Travelers have discovered a ‘hidden gem’ drive in Australia that offers some of the best views in the country – and thousands are calling it a must-visit place.
Couple Shruti and Dishant Rawat drove down 1 Tasman Dr in Gerringong, New South Wales, and was amazed by the iconic ocean view.
Gerringong is a two-hour drive from Sydney and just 10 minutes from the popular tourist center of Kiama.
The beach town, with a population of 4,000, is perfect for a weekend getaway for whale watching, surfing and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
“Such an underrated city known for its beautiful landscapes and coastal walks,” said Shruti and Dishant.
Some of the top attractions in Gerringong include Werri Beach, Fern Street Art Gallery and Birralee Reserve.
Gerringong also has a secluded waterfall with a picturesque swimming hole below it similar to those in Bali or Fiji.
The Gerringong Falls trail starts at Budderoo off Jamberoo Mountain Road and takes 50 minutes to walk north to reach the falls.

The remarkable sight has become increasingly popular among hikers. However, despite its beauty, it is said to be challenging to achieve and not for the faint of heart.
The enormous waterfall cascades down from a river above next to towering cliffs and it is recommended that you bring at least five meters of rope to reach the depths below.
Travelers Cat Smith and Joe Bird have previously visited the waterfall and warned that there are no official signs telling people how to reach the bottom.
‘You should be comfortable on a rough course of about 1 km’, a blog post read.
‘Although there are short stretches of easy flat track, most of it is rocky and there is a lot of loose leaf litter which can be slippery.’

“I got married on that hill in the distance and can confirm it is breathtaking,” said another of 1 Tasman Dr.
“Go further south, Narooma to Eden is absolutely beautiful,” one woman recommended.
‘I lived in Gerringong for five years. Quiet town, but beautiful,” one woman wrote. ‘Not just the beach, but the whole city, all the streets and alleys are beautiful.’
