Australia lose SEVEN early wickets as Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner throw away their wickets to put tourists on the brink of humiliation in India
Australia are looking down the barrel of a humiliating defeat in India after losing seven early wickets in their desperate bid to get back in the game.
India were finally bowled out by 400 runs on Saturday morning, holding a 223-run lead over the tourists after their poor first-innings total.
But the Australian heavyweights did little to make a dent in that deficit, with David Warner, Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne throwing away their wickets for a pittance, before Mathew Renshaw, Peter Handscomb and Alex Carey followed.
Steve Smith remains in the crease, but even with his undeniable talent, he has a massive hill to climb.
The Australians are playing the first of a four Test series in India.
