Aussie influencer reveals harrowing abuse she has received from male trolls after the shock US election win of Donald Trump

Social media star Karina Irby shocked her fans on Friday by revealing the harrowing abuse she received from male trolls in the wake of the US election.

The body-positive influencer, 34, shared screenshots on Instagram of some of the disgusting messages she received following Republican Donald Trump’s victory over Democrat nominee Kamala Harris.

One shocking message from a troll read: ‘The men are in charge again now, w**re. Your body OUR RULES. Now be a polite woman and make me a sandwich.”

Another message read: ‘Men will save the world, while stupid women like you are destroying the world with your abortions and menstrual cycle. F**K YOU.”

Meanwhile, a third message attacked childless women, saying: ‘You say you don’t want children? Well, don’t get pregnant, because Australia is about to learn the right way from us.’

Karina didn’t hold back in the comments section and took a strong stand against these sexist and outdated views.

‘For people who wonder what consequences the American elections have for other women who do not live in America. Here’s a sneak peek of my DMs,” Karina began.

‘The projection and pure anger in some people makes my blood boil. What do a woman’s reproductive choices and organs have to do with you?’

Karina expressed her belief that Donald Trump’s landslide victory has allowed hateful people to openly share their opinions.

“The sexist mentality and foul language of some of these people is just a window into the world of being a woman and dealing with this kind of abuse,” she added.

‘It’s scary to be a woman. And it’s 2024!? Not all Trump supporters are abusive, sexist pigs. But all the abusive, sexist pigs are Trump supporters.”

Karina is among a number of Australian celebrities who have taken to social media to express their opposition to Trump’s election victory.

Reality TV star Abbie Chatfield took a strong stand by urging women to stop giving men who support Donald Trump “the benefits of a relationship.”

In a lengthy Instagram post, the reality star, 29, told women to refuse to date or have sex with anyone who supports his win.

Alongside a series of posts from her story, she wrote: ‘If they want to take away reproductive freedoms, don’t let them enter your body.’

Other prominent figures who have voiced their opposition include podcaster Laura Byrne and Savage Garden singer Darren Hayes.

‘Let me understand this clearly: we would rather have a convicted felon than a woman. Fuck me,” Laura said in one clip.

Darren joined the chorus and shared an angry rant on Instagram telling his Trump fans to unfollow him.

“If you voted for him, we can’t be friends. You knew he would take away my rights and women’s rights,” Darren snapped in a shocked post.
