Shopper raves about $31 lip balm that’s ‘better than anything on the market’: ‘I can’t gatekeep any longer’

Australian make-up fans have revealed the ‘best’ lip balm on the market – and thousands claim their lip balm stayed plump and hydrated for 24 hours.

One shopper recently said she’s so “obsessed” with the Kylie Skin Lip Butter ($31) available at Mecca that she wanted to “monitor” everyone else’s beauty purchase.

Aussies have been suffering from dry lips in winter lately, and many are struggling to find long-lasting lip balms.

“I almost don’t want to post this, but I’m not a gatekeeper,” she said on a popular Facebook group. ‘If you’re looking for the best lip gloss/butter/oil, this is it!’

The shopper revealed that she has tried ‘almost every lip product on the market’ as she suffers from dry lips, and nothing comes close to purchasing Kylie Skin.

‘I tried this when I was in America at the beginning of this year and it is honestly the best. It’s glossy, glossy – not sticky, smells amazing and lasts a long time. The application is also super dreamy – so smooth. I’m absolutely hooked and my lips feel like silk.’

The shopper even admitted it was “way better” than other popular lip products that people are flocking to, including overnight lip masks.

While the shopper found her ‘perfect fit’ when it comes to lip balm, a few others were shocked by the high price and claimed that budget buys work just as well.

“Glad you found that one for you, but I’m using one that cost me $5 and I buy it at the pharmacy. Survived -C in Europe and left with silky soft lips,” said one, referring to the Oralife Peppermint Ointment.

Other beauty lovers are also raving about Kmart’s $3 lip oil and Aldi’s stunning $9.99 tinted lip gloss range.

Kylie Skin’s Lip Butter is made with shea butter, cloudberry seed oil and jojoba oil that help hydrate, condition and soothe lips.

Because the product has a soft white shade, it is perfect to wear on its own or layered over other lipsticks or glosses.

Thousands of others have rated the purchase with five stars online and shared their thoughts.

‘This really is the best! I love it so much. I bought three so I don’t run out. It’s that good!’ said one.

“I absolutely love how the product just melts into the lips and makes them nice and soft,” another raved.

‘I’ve tried every lip oil, gloss and balm Mecca sells and this is what it’s all about! I have super dry lips and always pick them when I’m stressed,” wrote a third.

“Not that I’m sitting at my desk with three lip products within reach (Kosas Lip Fuel, Malin+Goetz and Summer Fridays) and adding this to my cart,” one shopper added.

Although the Kylie Skin product is intended as an overnight lip mask, you can also use it in smaller amounts throughout the day.

Despite public opinion, some were skeptical of its competence.

“No, there’s nothing like Laniege,” someone said.

“Summer Fridays lip balm is the best,” wrote another.
