Austin FC have been knocked out of the CONCACAF Champions League by Haitian side Violette AC after failing to come from behind in the 3-0 first leg.
The MLS club won 2-0 on Tuesday night but was unable to force extra time in a humiliating result.
What makes the loss even more distressing is that several players were unable to play due to ‘visa entry issues’ according to the MLS website.
Austin went into halftime trailing 3-0 to tie, but scored twice in 12 minutes during the second half.
Sebastian Driussi scored a brace, leaving the Texas club with 27 minutes plus stoppage time to force an additional 30 minutes, though it was not to be.

The attacker had one last chance in the closing seconds, but it was parried by Violette’s goalkeeper, Paul Robert Décius.
There was better news for the Philadelphia Union, which advanced to the CCL quarterfinals with a 4-0 win against Alianza FC of El Salvador at Subaru Park.
Heading into Thursday night, the teams were level on aggregate after a draw in the first leg.
Damion Lowe opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time before a Daniel Gazdag penalty appeared to have clinched the result.
Andrés Perea made sure of it with a late double to leave the local fans on high.
