Austin Butler reveals his special relationship with Ashley Tisdale’s daughter Jupiter – after ill-fated 9 year romance with her BFF Vanessa Hudgens

Austin Butler has opened up about his special relationship with longtime friend Ashley Tisdale’s daughter Jupiter.

The 32-year-old Elvis star – who is in a relationship with model and actress Kaia Gerber – said E! News he loves “being the fun uncle” to the three-year-old toddler the 35-year-old High School Musical alum shares with husband Christopher French.

Austin said Monday at his Bikeriders movie premiere, “I play with the toys and stuff, and then I can go home at the end of the day.”

He also praised Ashley’s parenting skills, calling her “such a good mother.” He added, “I feel so honored to be a part of her life and to know her children.”

She is expecting her second child while her best friend and Austin’s ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, 35, is also pregnant.

Austin and Ashley’s friendship dates back to childhood, when they co-starred in 2009’s Aliens in the Attic and 2011’s Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.

Butler dated Hudgens from 2011-2020 and said in an interview with Esquire in February that he still has “so much love and care for her.”

In May, Tisdale shared her excitement about her High School Musical co-star Vanessa’s pregnancy during a Q&A on Instagram.

When a fan asked, “How cool is it that you and Vanessa are having babies at the same time?!” she replied, “It’s really cool!”

The expectant mother of two added, “I’m so excited for her and this new chapter in her life .”

Tisdale announced in March with an Instagram post that she was pregnant for the second time.

Hudgens revealed she was pregnant while posing for photos on the red carpet at the 2024 Academy Awards in March.

The actress will soon welcome her first-born child with husband Cole Tucker, whom she wed in December.

In May, Hudgens said she looks forward to showing her future children her television and film work.

She said E! News she has had her future children in mind throughout her career.

“I will show my kids all my work,” the mom-to-be shared. “That’s why I’ve chosen things along the way in my career.”

Hudgens added, “I wanted to make sure that if I had kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age.”
