The actor will star in the highly anticipated series alongside Barry Keoghan, 30, and Callum Turner, 32.

The drama was written by John Orloff and Graham Yost about the United States Army’s Eighth Air Force, also known as the Mighty Eighth.

The series doesn’t have an official release date yet, but is expected to debut sometime in spring 2023.

The Apple TV+ show will take advantage of Band of Brothers, which was also produced by Hanks and Spielberg.

The true story is based on Donald L. Miller’s book Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany, which was published in 2008.

There’s currently no trailer for the impending show, which makes the first-look images all the more exciting.

Butler is enjoying an exciting year of success, following his acclaimed role in Baz Luhrmann’s musical drama about the King of Rock ‘N’ Roll.

And this year he also landed a role in the upcoming Dune sequel, Dune: Part Two.
