Trendy wine bar sparks discussion by putting a $10 Heinz spaghetti bottle on the menu: ‘Idiots will overpay for everything’

Aussies are split over a $10 Heinz spaghetti bottle sold at a fancy Sydney pub, with some claiming they could make it at home for 49 cents.
The jaffles are sold at Lil Sis, a chic wine bar in The Abercrombie hotel in central Sydney.
The bar serves three flavors of jaffle; triple cheese, pastrami, and Heinz canned spaghetti and says they’re the “ultimate comfort food.”

While the wine bar, inspired by the “charming cave à vins in the neighborhoods of Paris,” has only received good online reviews, some internet users wondered why the iconic Aussie snack could cost $10.
A can of Heinz spaghetti is currently $2 at Coles and Woolworths.
One man said it was proof that “idiots overpay for everything.”
“Put the same can of spaghetti on the same loaf of bread and sell it in St Marys for $2 and the same people wouldn’t touch it,” he said.
Another internet user said the meal would cost about 49c to make at home.
‘I grew up on spaghetti jaffles, I’m 50 and still love it! Not sure I’d pay $10 for it, though a kabab can still win at that price after a few drinks,” another wrote.

“Any port in a storm after a few drinks and spaghetti will do just fine,” said a third.
One woman joked that people didn’t get the point.
