An old reality TV series from the ’90s has resurfaced and Australians can’t believe it ever made it to their screens.
Man O Man aired for one season on Network Seven in 1994 with Phantom of the Opera star Rob Guest as presenter, reported Yahoo lifestyle on Monday.
Despite achieving incredible success and becoming tough competition for rival Hey, Hey It’s Saturday on Nine, the series was canned in favor of Gladiators.
The series resurfaced this week when social media users shared a screenshot of the show online and asked if anyone remembered it.
‘Anyone remember this show? A kind of dating show, where the men were pushed into a swimming pool if they were rejected,” the original post read.

Someone replied: ‘Oh, it wasn’t a dating show. It was to see which contestant was the best pick-up artist. I’m not joking. They wouldn’t even try to recreate this.”
Another said: “I remember being in high school when it came on TV. I’ve seen part of it. Honestly, I can’t believe a show like this is on TV.
‘I was never surprised that a show like this didn’t last. Host Rob Guest said in far fewer words that it was nonsense.’

A third added: ’90s reality TV was the wild west lol’, while someone else wrote: ‘It was sooooo cringe but mum and I always tuned in.

Man O Man was based on a German game show of the same name, and even had a British version that aired for four years.
The series was reportedly set to be rebooted last year with Dr. Chris Brown at the helm after jumping from Network Ten to join Seven.
Seven Chief Content Officer Angus Ross would be ‘excited to bring back this flagship show’, they reported Television tonight in April.
