Australian viewers furious season two premiere of the Sex and the City spin-off And Just Like That – and one character continues to infuriate die-hard fans
The much-anticipated season two premiere of And Just Like That… premiered Thursday on Binge — and viewers were left divided on the bombshell episode.
Viewers took to Twitter to discuss the series premiere, and many were excited to see the return of Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw.
However, it was a new character in the Sex and the City universe that loosened the most tongues – and enraged many.
Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez), who plays the queer non-binary lover of established character Miranda Hobbes on the series, caused polarized viewers.
“Che just continues to be a horrible person,” one Australian viewer wrote after watching the episode.

They continued their rant, “Seems And Just Like That Season 2 should be subtitled ‘The Humiliation of Miranda Hobbs’ #Justice4Steve,” in reference to Miranda’s ex, Steve Brady.
Miranda left her husband Steve to be with Che during the show’s first season.
Not everyone disliked the new character though, with one Aussie viewer writing, “Che Diaz is the breakout character in Season 2 #AndJustLikeThat.”
They continued, “Is the bar that low or have they evolved as a character?” I will say they were the only person revealing humanity comics in the first two episodes. Everyone else looked like a caricature of themselves!’
Others were critical of Season 2’s debut in general, with one fan quipping, “And just like that…they both started projectile vomiting…and I switched to an old Colombo rerun…and found it awesome! ‘
In the explosive new season, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) – who was famous for cheating on Aidan (John Corbett) with her true love Mr Big (Chris Noth) – sends her first great love while her unsuspecting affair Franklin (Ivan Hernandez) in her bed sleeps .

Elsewhere, we see Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and her comedic partner Che going on vacation more and more – before Miranda realizes that Che’s party lifestyle threatens to overwhelm her.
Miranda’s scorned estranged husband Steve (David Eigenberg) also makes a highly anticipated appearance – after the former attorney broke his heart cheating on him in season one.
There’s no sign of Samantha Jones, however, after it was sensationally revealed that Kim Cattrall will be making a superstar cameo in the new season – despite years of battle with SJP.
And Just Like That… follows the ladies from the iconic 1990s drama show Sex and the City at a later stage in their lives and is designed to appeal to new and old viewers alike.
