Aussie TikTok star left ‘hyperventilating and sobbing’ after accidentally spending $10,000 on VIP Taylor Swift tickets using her dad’s American Express card: ‘I’m an idiot’
Taylor Swift is about to bring her Eras Tour Down Under in 2024 and tickets are selling out fast across the country as nearly a million fans rushed to get seats.
And on Thursday, Australian influencer Georgia Rose revealed she was redfaced after accidentally buying multiple tickets at once, to the tune of $10,000.
“If you’ve tried tickets in the AMEX presale, you know it was a crazy morning when the site crashed,” she said in a TikTok video.
The brunette explained that she opened the Amex site in four different tabs to maximize her chances of scoring tickets – but hadn’t counted on the sale going through four times.
‘I am an idiot. I had four windows open because I didn’t expect to get tickets there.”

“I go through the next steps and then click check out and as the wheel spins to process the order I look in the background and it says $10,000.”
She soon realized she had mistakenly purchased eight VIP packages and said her father immediately called her to ask why his credit card had charged the overwhelming amount.
Fortunately, they were out of pocket because they could sell the extra tickets to relatives at face value.
Swift will give four concerts in Sydney and three in Melbourne next year.

The shows will be the first time the Love Story hitmaker, 33, has performed in Australia since 2018 and tickets to her shows are highly sought after.
Earlier this week, pre-sale tickets for her first five shows sold out after a record four million users queued up to get a ticket to see the American superstar.
The remaining general release tickets went on sale Friday morning, along with two additional shows in Sydney and Melbourne to meet overwhelming demand.
The Victorian shows will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on February 16, 17 and 18.
Swift will then fly to Sydney to perform at Accor Stadium for four consecutive nights on February 23, 24, 25 and 26.
The Pennsylvania native has not announced any dates in other Australian cities or New Zealand dates.
