Aussie teenager is stabbed to death outside a housing estate in Thailand as shock details emerge

A 14-year-old Australian-Thai boy was fatally stabbed in the back by another teenager outside a residential area in Thailand.

The teenager was on his way home when he was attacked outside the Muntra Garden Home in Chonburi on Tuesday.

The 14-year-old, who has an Australian mother and a Thai father, collapsed on the sidewalk of a nearby store and died a short time later.

In CCTV footage that captured the scuffle, the teen’s attacker is seen stabbing a knife into his back as he tries to run to safety.

His alleged attacker, a fellow student, reportedly fled on a motorcycle.

The boy’s mother and older sister said he had reported a dispute with an older student at school who had sent him “threatening” messages.

‘I saw him go away to play in the village, but I didn’t know when he went to the shop. He said he was having problems with a senior student from the same school,” she said.

Police arrived at the scene of the fatal stabbing at 8:30 p.m. and found the teenager lying in a pool of his own blood.

The man’s alleged attacker was arrested by police on suspicion of murder.

He was taken to the Sattahip District Police Station for questioning, where he reportedly confessed to stabbing the younger boy.

‘I stabbed him in the back before I rode home on my motorcycle. “I didn’t know he was going to die because of this,” he allegedly told police.

The teen said the 14-year-old had “looked at him like he was asking for trouble,” so he told him to meet him after school before allegedly stabbing him.

Police Colonel Thanapon said the suspect was sent to the Chonburi Juvenile and Family Court where he would be “interrogated” and informed of the charges.

‘The most serious charge is murder. “If the evidence supports this, he will be prosecuted for murder,” he said.

The Australian-Thai boy’s body has been sent to Bangkok for post-mortem.
