Aussie pop artist Peach PRC tops the ARIA charts with new album

Australian pop singer Peach PRC has reached the top of the ARIA charts.

The Adelaide-born star, whose real name is Shaylee Jade Curnow, hit the number one spot on Saturday with her EP Manic Dream Pixie.

This is the 26-year-old’s second time entering the ARIA charts, as her debut single Josh reached number 38 in 2021.

Peach shares the top five with big American stars Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, Sza and Canadian pop singer The Weeknd.

The lithe beauty, who came out as a lesbian in 2022 and has two million followers on TikTok, released a statement gushing about her success.

“Going to No. 1 on the charts with my very first EP is absolutely surreal and actually insane,” said Peach.

“To have such a devoted, loyal fan base that has truly been my community and backbone always makes my heart burst and my head spin. I am so very grateful.’

Peach, who has amassed 130 million music downloads in her short career to date, is currently completing a sold-out tour of Australia.

It comes after she wowed the crowd at the WorldPride event in Sydney in March.

The TikTok superstar was pretty in pink, stunning fans as she performed in a sheer bustier and skirt combo.

Peach channeled mermaid chic with sparkling details in her costume and her headband, as well as a dazzling diamond necklace.

The star took to Instagram in January 2022 to announce to fans that she was coming out as a lesbian.

“Came out as a lesbian today (to be honest, the closet was glass lol),” she wrote in the caption, hinting that her sexuality was no secret to those who know her well.

Many fans applauded her decision to come out publicly and called her a role model for LGBTQ youth.
