The engagement follows Brianna’s remarkable performance in Paris, where she and teammates Mollie O’Callaghan, Lani Pallister and Ariarne Titmus won gold in the 4 x 200-meter freestyle relay.
After her Olympic success, Brianna flew to Europe with a torn calf from a tennis injury, but she was determined to enjoy some well-earned rest.
After first representing Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics, she won gold at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics in the women’s 4 x 100 metre medley relay and a bronze medal in the mixed 4 x 100 metre medley relay.
In recognition of her achievements, she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2022 Australia Day Honours.
