Aussie mum who couldn’t look at herself now explodes with confidence after Thailand mummy makeover

A busy working mom has revealed how she shelled out $40,000 to get ‘her dream body’ after spending years avoiding cameras and refusing to look in the mirror.

Linda Louwrens was 46 years old when she decided to travel to Thailand to get a mummy makeover in hopes of finding love for herself again.

The Perth mum lost 16kg and went from a size 16 to a 18 to a size 10 to 12 ‘overnight’ and says the expensive trip was the best thing she’s ever done.

‘I had lost my spark. I blamed everyone else, but then I realized it was me: the way I felt about myself extinguished my light,” he told FEMAIL.

Perth’s mom, Linda Louwrens, used to ‘hate’ her body, so she went to Thailand and had $40,000 worth of work done for herself.

The busy mom, pictured here with her daughter Micah, said her self-loathing got to the point where she couldn’t see anything positive.

Linda had hated her appearance for years and tried ‘every diet and exercise program’ she could find, but nothing worked.

“I started feeling differently about my body after my daughter was born in 2011, in 2014 or 2015 I hated it,” she said.

This led her to throw everything she knew about health and wellness into the trash, along with fruits, vegetables, and weight-bearing exercise routines.

“I did heavy training in a gym six days a week for a year and I didn’t lose an inch,” he said.

Three years ago, things got so bad that Linda looked down at her feet every day as she shuffled into the office, averting her gaze from the mirror-lined entryway.

Now she stops and checks herself.

Lisa had her breasts lifted and implants replaced, a tummy tuck, a butt lift, and had the fat removed around her bra line.

Linda tried ‘every diet’ and exercise regimen she could find before deciding to have surgery.

“I’ll even stop there to take pictures or just go in there and look at myself,” he laughed.

Linda underwent two surgeries including a tummy tuck, butt lift, and liposuction on her arms, legs, and along the bra line.

She lost 16kg ‘overnight’ when doctors cut away the stubborn tissue and ‘tightened everything up’.

Now, the mom-of-one struggles to pick out her favorite asset, saying she likes it all.

“I was born short with thick thighs, it’s nice to have a butt that fits in jeans,” she said.

She also had liposuction on her thighs and arms and a facelift.

“I also love that I don’t have a muffin top anymore and that my boobs are where they should be.”

Linda chose Australian company Azurite Health and Wellness for her treatments and also took part in their spiritual healing course, which helped her deal with old wounds.

Despite a radical new look immediately after surgery, Linda’s mental state was so bad that she believed she still looked the same.

“I spent the first day in my room after the first operation hating myself. I trusted the system and the surgery, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that it wasn’t working for me,” he said.

“I thought I looked the same, and I was scared of the mirror, so it didn’t even cross my mind to check.”

Linda used to hide her body in photos, usually behind her daughter or furniture.

She says she is more confident now and more likely to go out with her family. She looks at photos like this and is grateful for her choice.

“It wasn’t until the attendees arrived on the fourth day that I had the guts to look at myself and was blown away. It was like waking up in a movie.

‘I thought I was in a strange, vivid dream. I had a center and my breasts were where they should be.

Linda spent three weeks in Bangkok and one week in Phuket, the longest she had been away from her family.

This is Linda before she had her daughter. She said that she felt that she had lost the spark for her, but she has found it since she had the surgery.

‘It was so hard being away from my daughter Micah for so long. I really struggled. And she was terrified that she was afraid of the scars,” she said.

“But she saw me at the airport and she said ‘oh mommy you look amazing’ and it was a really good feeling.”

“My partner is a man of few words, so when she said ‘wow my love’ it was really nice,” he added.

Linda said she was glad she went to the spiritual retreat.

Linda said she would eat fruits and vegetables and go on strict diets, but nothing worked.

Now she feels that she has a second chance to be healthy and happy.

“My mental health is very good now, it wasn’t just about the procedure… I also learned a lot,” he said.

I am more in tune with myself and the world around me and I actually found myself. It’s amazing to be able to love myself again.’

Linda had never done meditation before, but she really thrived under the care of the team.

“We had massages, mud wraps, detox baths with special ingredients, did seaweed wraps and body scrubs, it was just magical,” he said.
