Aussie mum reveals Dubai horror ordeal after young sons were taken from her by airport security suspected of carrying EXPLOSIVES
Australian comedian Nikki Osborne has revealed her two young sons were taken from her and checked for ‘explosives’ during a terrifying ordeal at Dubai airport.
The mother-of-two, 42, was on holiday in France with sons Will, 15, and Teddy, 10, before catching a flight back to Australia, and was passing through in the early hours.
Recalling the disturbing time in The courier post on Sunday, Nikki said airport officials let her through but stopped the boys for inspection.
‘I handed security our three boarding passes and passports and instead of handing them all back to me, to my astonishment, he identified my two young boys, pointed to them, gave them the corresponding paperwork and then said to me, ‘Lady, you go through the gate to board your plane. Guys, you’re coming with me,” she explained.
Nikki said she refused to leave her two young boys behind, who were frozen in fear.

Nikki added that one of her sons even said “stop them” after being told he was going to be separated from her.
“I went into mama bear mode and said, ‘Noooooooo, they’re staying with me or I’m going with them,’” she said.
“It’s half past one in the morning, abroad they have my boys, they have their passports, what can I stop them? We’ve seen the movies. We know that when it comes to foreign travel, things can change a bit.’
The two boys were then led to an examination room, where Nikki marched behind him.

Nikki noted that only adults were subject to checks, not children, apart from her own children.
Following the investigation, the trio boarded their flight back to Australia.
Nikki railed against airport staff, asking, “Who in their right mind thinks it’s okay to separate young children from their mothers?”
The artist added that both her boys were deeply saddened by the incident, with one of them crying throughout the 14-hour flight home.
She ended by warning fellow holidaymakers planning to travel through Dubai, saying she hoped a similar incident would not happen to their families.
Nikki was furious with the airport staff and asked, “Who in their right mind thinks it’s okay to separate young children from their mothers?”
Nikki is a stand-up and reality show star in Australia
Nikki is known for being outspoken and recently criticized her son’s private school after they demanded the teen cut his ‘Harry Styles’ haircut.
The I’m A Celebrity star told The Project that teenager Will has ‘normal hair’, inspired by the British pop star.
‘He just looks like an earlier version of Harry Styles! I think that’s a good thing,” she said.
“I don’t understand why they’re putting in all these stupid rules for, you know, just little bits of hair.”
Nikki says Will was asked to cut his hair because his locks were “touching his collar” and she is reluctant to comply with the request.
