Aussie MotoGP star Jack Miller makes an INSANE bet with his wife ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix – and you won’t believe what he gets if he wins the race

  • Miller crashed six times in Texas
  • Has great recent form in Spain though
  • Will earn a very tidy prize from the bet if he wins

If Australian speed demon Jack Miller can take another win at Spanish MotoGP in Jerez, he will also be the proud owner of a brand new boat after making a bet with his wife.

Miller is looking to improve on his recent performance, having finished seventh and sixth in the first two races of the season and failing to finish the Texas race.

Miller previously won at Jerez in 2021 riding his factory Ducati bike, and is now trying to replicate his success on his KTM machine.

In a recent interview, Miller talked about the bet he made with his wife Ruby and how it motivates him to win the race.

“I was throwing [around the idea of buying] another boat. I want to pull the trigger, but I don’t want to pull the trigger because I feel like the economy will fall apart and boat prices will get better,” he told Crash.

‘So I wait. I told her, ‘If I win this year, I’ll pull the trigger on a boat for Christmas.’

Despite the recent indifferent form, Spain is a happy hunting ground for Miller and he hopes to match that success this week

Miller’s wife also posted about the bet on social media, saying, “If Jack wins, I’ll let him get a new boat.”

Despite his recent track issues, Miller expressed confidence in his bike and his abilities as a rider.

“Victory is always the goal, confidence is high. I feel good, comfortable with the bike,” he said.

“The bike, if it gets upset in a fast corner, you can flip it. I feel like I’m in charge of it. So when we get here on 11 and 12, we can capitalize on that feeling.”

Miller’s KTM teammate Brad Binder won the second sprint race of the year, giving the team hope that they could send both riders closer to the front of the grid on a consistent basis.

Miller also expressed excitement about the upcoming test on Monday.

“We’ve had more races. We know what we’re getting into in terms of strategy – the set-up, the electronics, things like that,” he said.

“I’m especially looking forward to Monday’s test, never thought I’d say that.”
