Aussie larrikin is praised for his hilarious response after his Uber driver was pulled over by cops for speeding

An Australian craftsman has been praised for his hilarious response when his Uber driver was pulled over by police for speeding.

Fynn Ellmers was in the passenger seat of the car when the driver was pulled over by highway patrol on the Gold Coast last week.

Mr. Ellmers offered to translate for the officer, as the driver seemed to have difficulty understanding English.

“Excellent, that would be nice,” the grateful officer replied.

The officer then told the driver he would be taking a random breath test after being caught driving 11 mph over the speed limit.

You can translate [that] “If you wish,” he said to Mr. Ellmers.

The Australians panicked when the trader leaned over to the driver, tapped him on the shoulder and said, “Brother, too fast.”

“You don’t speak…? That’s excellent. You’re a real champion,” the officer replied, unimpressed.

Mr. Ellmers assured the driver that he would still give him five stars on the app.

“Well, buddy, you can’t cry over spilt milk,” he said.

‘You can still ride me bro. I love you. Thank you, five stars.

“Thank you for taking me home.”

Australians were quick to praise Mr Ellmer’s “brutal” response to police on Instagram, with the video now viewed more than 4 million times.

“I’m crying, I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this on repeat,” one person wrote.

“This is exactly the behavior I think of when I hear the word ‘brutal,’” said a second.

A third commented: ‘It’s been a long time since I laughed so hard.’

Mr Elmmers told Daily Mail Australia he planned to make more videos.

“It was so coincidental that a friend saw it on my Snapchat story and thought it was hilarious, so I posted it on TikTok and then Instagram. I think there’s like 4.2 million people on Insta now, which is incredible,” he said.

“I just need some luck and a little more confidence to keep making more funny videos. It would definitely be a good way to get rid of the trading site.”
