“My secondhand shame increases as I watch more and more,” one user commented.
“Saddened to see all the negative comments towards this,” wrote one. “She’s so sweet in real life and an amazing dancer!”
Another person commented, “I’m not sure why the judges were making such exaggerated faces, but I’m proud of her.”
“So many K-pop songs to choose from and she went for this one,” added one.

Countless people online pointed out that the woman seemed to be auditioning for a K-pop show instead of Australian Idol.
‘The girl thought she was on Girls Planet 999!’ one commented, referring to the South Korean talent competition.
“It’s funny because this would be enough to make tweets about ‘steady voices’ and ‘queen of stage presence’ for K-pop fans,” added another.
Australian Idol recently returned to television after nearly fifteen years off the air.
Ratings have been lackluster so far, trailing Channel 10’s Australian Survivor and the blockbuster Nine Married At First Sight.
