Aussie influencers shocked after learning that popular children’s game has a different name in each state – so what do YOU call it?

Annie Knight and Taila Maddison were stunned Wednesday after learning a popular children's game has a different name in every state.

Annie told her Double dose podcast co-host how as a kid she played a game where she ran away from a designated player while they tried to catch you.

“I was five or six and we were chased around the house,” she began.

A producer then interrupted her and asked, “Chasey? You mean a label.'

“I call it grumpy,” Annie replied before Taila admitted, “I didn't hear that either. We used to call it a tip.”

“You run and chase people. I call it cranky,” Annie insisted.

'This is interesting. I didn't know this, so different states must call it different things,” she added.

Taila said, “I can't believe this. We have three different names from three different states.”

The game selects one player as 'it'.

They then chase the others and try to 'tag' one of them by touching them with a hand.

The tagged player then becomes the 'it' and the game continues.

It comes after Media Week recently announced the top 100 influencers for 2023 based on their social media engagement and loyal follower list.

Topping the list is actor Hugh Jackman, who has 80 million followers on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
