Aussie influencer stokes controversy by wearing a white dress to her father’s wedding – and it’s not the first time she’s upstaged the bride

An Australian TikTok influencer appears to have upstaged the bride at her father’s wedding over the weekend. It’s not the first time she’s made the mistake.

Isabelle Mathers, 25, shared a series of photos from her father’s wedding weekend on Instagram on Monday.

Many of the photos feature Isabelle’s stunning dress: a form-fitting satin and lace gown created by New York-based designer Danielle Guizio.

Isabelle shared a clip of herself walking seductively backwards in front of the camera in her wedding dress as her partner, model Harri Musumeci, looked on.

The dress appeared to be white, which was a wedding blunder, but Isabelle claimed the color was “baby pink.”

The wedding appeared to be a fairly subdued and informal affair, taking place in what appeared to be a backyard.

The bride wore a cute white and pink floral print dress that fell to the knee and a pair of bone-colored heels.

Her father wore a casual outfit of khaki chinos and a short-sleeved white linen shirt that was open at the chest.

The influencer, perhaps sensing the online backlash coming, was quick to point out that it was not a “traditional wedding.”

“Before anyone comments on my dress, it was not a traditional wedding,” Isabelle wrote.

‘There was no dress code and my dad’s partner wore a floral dress and half the guests wore white.

‘Ps, my dress is baby pink.’

This came after Isabelle caused a divide among her fans in May after she upstaged the bride at her best friend’s wedding in an extravagant yellow dress.

She posted a series of photos on Instagram of the glamorous, sheer dress that featured a long train and a racy cutout that accentuated her toned abs.

Standing next to bride-to-be, fitness influencer Rachel Dillon, who was marrying Kayla Itsines’ ex Tobi Pearce, it was hard to tell which woman she would marry.

Rachel, 30, looked an angelic beauty in a short, white dress that covered her shoulders and had a very short hem, while Isabelle wore a silhouette more often seen at a wedding.

According to the data, Isabelle wore the flashy dress to the rehearsal dinner, where the other bridesmaids were also allowed to wear yellow, and not to the actual wedding ceremony.

However, it seems the influencer’s outfit was the most extravagant of them all. Rachel’s other friends opted for a more understated look at their friend’s rehearsal.

Isabelle’s followers were divided over her reactions, with many praising her look, while others criticized her choice of outfit for her wedding weekend.

“Why would you wear a LONG CREAM dress to your girlfriend’s wedding…take my pick,” one person wrote.

Another added: ‘I literally feel the same way. I feel sorry for the bride.’

Isabelle was quick to respond to the critics, saying, “It’s yellow, the bride is my best friend, she literally helped me pick out all the outfits I wore on her wedding weekend.”

Many of Isabelle’s fans came to her defense, with one person writing: ‘Did you even look at their pictures? All the bridesmaids were in cream/white. It was Rachel’s choice.’

Another said: ‘Do you even know what’s going on? Or are you just blindly hating people. And do you even know what a “pick me” is? Stop spreading hate. And be nicer.’

“It was bride approved. You want to be insulted on her behalf… get a life,” someone else added.

It’s unclear what dresses the bridesmaids wore during the wedding ceremony, but Rachel was sure to steal the show with her breathtaking wedding dress.
