An Aussie influencer has been caught up in a very public misunderstanding about her purchase of a $1,000 retro lamp from a Sydney antique shop.

Luci Levant, a model and influencer with 75,000 followers on Instagram and 46,000 on TikTok, bought the 1970s Pop Art style lamp from Mitchell Road Antiques Center in Alexandria last weekend.

But shortly after purchasing the signature white lamp, worth between $750 and $1,000, the antiques center posted footage of Ms. Levant from the store’s CCTV, claiming there had been a mix-up over price tags.

Meanwhile, Ms. Levant posted a photo of herself on Instagram with the white lamp in the background next to her bed. The message has since been deleted.
