Australian social media star Karina Irby has been forced to hit back at internet trolls after her unusual ‘dog mom’ behaviour caused internet outrage.
The 34-year-old influencer shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday of the extravagant purchase she made for her three beloved Chihuahuas: Billie, Biscuit and Barnie.
She was very happy when she told me that she had bought a stroller for her dogs. She said that her 11 year old dog Billie now has difficulty walking long distances.
She posted a video of herself assembling the new stroller and pushing her pups around the house in it, but the video has divided social media users.
Karina was forced to hit back at cruel internet trolls after they accused her of being a “red flag” for the purchase and were annoyed that she used the term “firstborn”.
Someone wrote: ‘I don’t understand why you would do this if your dog doesn’t have mobility issues.’
While another said: ‘Oh God. I’m sorry to say this. But people who do this is the biggest red flag.’
However, Karina didn’t take kindly to the comment and quickly responded with, “Excuse me? What exactly is the red flag here?”

One follower disagreed with Karina, who has openly said she doesn’t want children. In another comment, he called her oldest dog her “firstborn.”
They wrote: ‘This was so cute until I read the word “firstborn” and it gave me the creeps. Having a baby and owning a dog are not the same. You can still love your furry baby and not associate it with giving birth.’
But the owner of the Moana Bikini store simply replied, “I always say Billie was my firstborn.
“Because she was literally the firstborn of the fur babies. I’m sorry if this upsets you, but that’s not my intention.”
Karina, who is married to Ryan Jones, also hit out at a cruel troll who said her beloved pets weren’t “real children”. She responded: “Billie, Barnie and Biscuit are real children to us.”
Despite the criticism, many of Karina’s fans were quick to rally around her and show their support, raving about the “cute” video.
One wrote: ‘This is so cute,’ while another said: ‘I love your excitement, this is the cutest thing ever.’

In the video, Karina shares her excitement about buying the stroller as she assembles it for her dogs, then lifts them into it and wheels them around her living room.
“I’m going to be that dog mom soon, I just bought a puppy stroller,” she said in the footage.
In a caption, Karina described her three pets as her “absolute world” and shared how she decided to buy the stroller to help her oldest dog Billie.
“I bought a stroller! I’m entering a new era of being a puppy mom and I’m so excited,” she shared.
‘This is something that has been on my mind for a while now, but I kept stopping myself. Why? Well, my firstborn is now 11 and I had a toxic mindset thinking that if I bought a stroller I would be making her older.
‘Which kills me inside. But after some positive thinking and remembering why I wanted to buy a stroller in the first place, I reminded myself that I was doing it so I could give her an even better life experience!
