Aussie-made Elixinol Wellness’ Mt Elephant brand ‘buttermylk’ pancake mix pulled from the shelves over allergy fears

An Australian-made pancake mix advertised as ‘nutritionist-made’ and vegan friendly has been urgently recalled after it was found to contain milk.

Food Standards Australia on Friday issued a recall for Elixinol Wellness’ Mt Elephant brand ‘buttermylk’ mix due to its ‘undeclared allergen’.

Buyers of Byron Bay pancake mix with a milk allergy or intolerance have been urged by the food authority to ‘not consume this product’.
