Aussie cricket star Travis Head has a very cheeky go at Indian cricket fans after they targeted his wife with vile attacks

Travis Head has humorously hit out at Indian cricket fans who misunderstood his MCG celebration and attacked his wife with vicious attacks on social media.
The Australian batsman had much to celebrate on Sunday afternoon after helping seal a 3-1 victory over India with a six-wicket victory at the SCG.
Head was one of Australia’s best players but was embroiled in controversy during the Boxing Day Test when he threw a bizarre celebration after claiming the wicket of Rishabh Pant.
He pretended to repeatedly dip his right index finger into a glass full of ice, as if to cool it down – but many Indian fans thought he was making a crude, sexually charged gesture to insult their team.
Channel Seven commentator and Aussie skipper Pat Cummins explained that Head revisited his great spell with a 4-10 win against Sri Lanka in 2022, before saying he had to cool his finger as he was on a hot streak with the ball .
It didn’t take long for them to lash out at Head on social media.

Head referred to the incident in a cheeky Instagram post after Australia’s victory in Sydney to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Former international player and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu demanded sanctions against Head for insulting the nation of India.
“Travis Head’s obnoxious behavior during the Melbourne test is not good for the gentleman’s game,” Sidhu wrote on X.
‘(It) sets the worst possible example when there are children, women, young and old watching the match.
“This caustic behavior offended not one individual, but a nation of 1.5 billion Indians.
“Severe punishments must be imposed that will deter future generations so that no one dares to follow his example!!!”
Hundreds of comments later targeted Head on social media — and even Head’s wife, Jessica.
Jessica, who gave birth to the couple’s second child last month, had her Instagram account bombarded with mean comments and pig emojis.
On Sunday night after the win, Head reignited the controversy by posting a photo of his finger in a glass of beer alongside the caption “Ooppss.”
After the match, Head told the media that he was looking forward to a break with his family after the grueling Test series.

“It’s just fun to contribute,” he said.
‘I’m not too worried about what the outcome might be. I just realized we’re in the World Test Championship.
“I forgot about that in a crazy three days. It’s been busy and I’m looking forward to ten days off.’
