The Aussie brothers each win $1 million after purchasing separate Lotto tickets

A pair of Victorian brothers won $1 million each in last weekend’s TattsLotto draw using the same set of special numbers they’ve both been using since the late ’70s.

The old players each had one of the five winning entries from Division 1 in TattsLotto drawing 4393, drawn on Saturday, August 26, 2023, each taking home a total Division 1 prize of $1,045,001.05.

The pair revealed that the family tradition started when one brother asked the other to turn on his regular TattsLotto ticket while on vacation.

Both brothers subsequently continued to receive identical weekly TattsLotto tickets.

The brotherly duo were the only Victorians to own all six winning numbers needed to score in the first division of the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4393 on August 26, 2023 were 37, 10, 18, 32, 6 and 33, while the additional numbers were 21 and 23.

Across Australia, there were five first division winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4393: two each in Victoria and one each in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.
