Aussie breakdancer Raygun is ruthlessly mocked in Australian Lamb advert
Australian Lamb’s 2025 summer advert has dropped and features several big names from Australian culture, including Olympic breakdance star Rachel ‘Raygun’ Gunn.
While last year’s theme focused on things that were ‘un-Australian’, for 2025 Australian Lamb has encouraged people to ‘get out of the comments section’.
The ad is believed to have used real comments that people have written on the internet on various topics including dog grooming, making a cup of tea and Raygun.
During the ad, the individuals highlight some of the baffling comments shared online last year, before Lambassador Sam Kekovich produces a grilled lamb chop to unite the individuals in the ad.
To highlight some of the absurd comments, the promotion features a group of people sitting at a booth with a sign above them that reads, “The Comments Section.”
During the ad, several actors begin discussing whether you should put milk in a cup of tea before removing the tea bag.
Australian Lamb’s 2025 summer commercial has dropped and it looks like the Raygun sensation is being mocked
The Australian breakdancer faced widespread trolling after her performances at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris
One irritated character says: ‘We’re fighting over tea now…’ While another responds: ‘It could be worse…’
The camera then pans to a woman dressed in a green tracksuit appearing to imitate Raygun by performing a dance on a stage in front of the group.
Several members in the stands then shout out various messages to the lady, including: “She’s my hero” and “She broke up dancing.”
“I don’t understand one added,” as one person hit back at the comments. “Oh, another keyboard warrior.”
“It’s fake,” one was heard saying, while another added: “Why is everyone hating.”
The woman continued to dance and roll on the floor, while two persons seemed to wonder why there was so much dragging.
“There has to be something that unites us,” someone said, before the screen switched to Kekovich saying, “Come on everyone, get out of the comments and get into the schnitzels.”
The humorous ad aims to shed light on the difference between the way some Australians have treated people online and how they would do it in real life.
During the ad, several people stood in what is called the “comment section” throwing insults at a raygun impersonator as she dances on stage.
Nathan Low, general manager of marketing at Livestock Australia, said: “If you delve into the world of online commentary, you’d think Australians would be at each other’s throats, no matter how trivial the topic.
‘But in real life we don’t treat each other like that.
“The Summer Lamb campaign is an irreverent reminder that Australians are always at our best when we’re united, and there’s no better way to bring everyone together than an epic Aussie lamb barbecue.”
It comes as Raygun was heavily trolled following her performances at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but has also become somewhat of a cult hero in Australia.
The Australian breaking sensation failed to score a single point at the Olympics and was questioned for her unique dancing, which saw the university researcher hopping like a kangaroo.
While many have offered support and congratulated Gunn on making it to the Games, she has previously opened up about some of the horrible comments some social media users have sent her.
Raygun has defiantly vowed not to let her haters defeat her.
“People have really tried to shame me,” she said.

Raygun has previously been open about some of the trolling she has committed, but defiantly says their hate won’t reach her
“It was so hard to process,” she said Stellar. ‘My whole world has changed. My identity has changed. My relationships have changed, for better or worse.
‘Unfortunately, in times like these you find out who your real friends are. And because things are still changing, it’s just impossible to keep your wits about you.
“It’s hard to predict what it will be like when I leave home.”
She added, “I think the haters want me to be locked in a room in shame and silence.
