The attorney representing the family of Louisiana State University sophomore Madison Brooks has condemned a new video of the student dead in the back of a car with her alleged rapists.
Video shows the Alpha Phi sorority girl slurring her words and arguing with the four accused rapists at 3 a.m. in East Baton Rouge last month, moments before she was allegedly raped, dumped on the side of the road and then hit by another car.
The 29-second clip, posted by lawyers for the suspects, includes a brief moment in which Brooks, 19, hurled insults at the men and called the driver “gay.”
Kerry Miller, who represents Brook’s mother, said foxnews the video was “hurtful and embarrassing”, adding that each clip released by the defense “cuts like a knife” through the late student’s family.

Last month, another video was released to the media showing Brooks running out of Reggie’s bar in Baton Rouge to join the four suspects accused of raping her: Kaivon Washington, 18; Casen Carver, 18, Everett Lee, 28; and Desmond Carter, 17.
Miller called out the defense for continuing to release videos the night of Brook’s death to the media, describing it as a desperate attempt to control the narrative.
It’s one thing to defend your clients. Another is to deal with the case in the media,” Miller said. “It shows a level of desperation.”
Kerry Miller (above), a lawyer for Brook’s mother, condemned the new video as “hurtful and embarrassing.”
In the segment of the new video broadcast on television earlier this week, Brooks is seen sitting in the back of the car surrounded by the men as she argued with them and appeared to be getting out of the vehicle.
“I’m sorry I offended you so much,” he told the driver, Carver.
Then he drawls out, ‘Get out. Go out. I’ll call an Uber on my own.
Defense attorney Ron Haley claims the entire 29-second clip includes the moment Brooks called Carver “gay” for allegedly not wanting to be intimate with her.
“Implying that he’s not straight based on him not wanting to engage in certain activities with her,” Haley explained to WBRZ 2, which aired the clip.
“It doesn’t put anyone in the best light, but then again, not being put in the best light is not the same as rape.”
Haley argues that the video shows that while Brooks was drunk, she was able to consent.
Neither Miller nor Haley immediately responded to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

Other images released by defense attorneys show Brooks running after the group of men the night she died.
Brooks died after being struck by a carpool at 3 a.m. on January 15, when the four men left her.
Two Good Samaritans reportedly stopped to perform CPR on the LSU sophomore after the collision.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office says they were led by first responders over the phone in the pouring rain after Brooks was struck by the car.
They confirmed that she died from ‘multiple traumatic injuries’ when she was struck by a car after allegedly being raped.
Carter, whose identity was previously withheld because he is a minor, was indicted on charges of first degree rape and faces life in prison without parole.
He was also charged with third-degree rape, which in Louisiana involves sex deemed without the victim’s legal consent.
Washington, Carver and Lee also faced charges of third-degree rape.
Stills show Washington partying with friends and posing for the camera, while another shows him topless and clutching an inflatable alien.
Brooks, 19, was found by good Samaritans who reportedly stopped to perform CPR on her.
His Alpha Phi sorority confirmed that he donated his kidneys and heart.
Legal documents seen by DailyMail.com reveal that Madi had 0.319g per cent alcohol in her system, so high that toxicologists said she may have suffered from alcohol poisoning or blackout.
Surveillance footage surrounding Reggie’s bar, where the group met, shows Madi drunk and stumbling, according to police documents.
The Louisiana ATC has confirmed that it has suspended Reggie’s license following the “seriousness of the allegations and the potential threat to public safety.”
A lawyer for the bar association, Kris Perrett, confirmed in a statement that they are “fully cooperating with the authorities.”
