Atlético de Madrid have announced the signing of Matt Doherty, after Tottenham agreed to terminate the full-back’s contract.
Doherty joined the Spanish giants on a short-term deal until the end of the season.
Tottenham confirmed the departure of the 30-year-old, after reaching an agreement to terminate his contract.

“We have mutually agreed to the termination of Matt Doherty’s contract to allow him to join another club,” a Tottenham statement read.
‘Signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2020, the Republic of Ireland international made 71 appearances for us in all competitions, scoring three goals.
“We would like to thank Matt for his service and wish him the best for the future.”
