Atlassian owner Mike Cannon-Brookes moves on with mystery woman after marriage divorce from wife Annie

Billionaire tech boss Mike Cannon-Brookes has reportedly moved on with a young mystery woman just weeks after splitting from his wife.

At the end of last month, news broke that the co-founder of Atlassian and his wife Annie had split after 13 years of marriage.

But now it’s been revealed that Mr. Cannon-Brookes has a new love interest, according to the Daily telegram.

News of the split, first published by the Australian Financial Review, raised questions about how the couple will divide their estimated $19 billion fortune, alongside a $300 million property empire.

The couple tied the knot in January 2010 and eventually had four children together.

It was revealed late last month that just months before their marriage broke up, the couple were involved in a terrifying car accident, which left the billionaire hospitalized for his injuries.

They were involved in a hit-and-run earlier this year in the NSW Southern Highlands, where they own several properties.

Mr Cannon-Brookes ended up in hospital after the accident, sources tell the Australian Financial Review.

Both he and his wife made a full recovery. While details are scarce, the car accident had nothing to do with their recent divorce.

Ms. Cannon-Brookes was working as a fashion designer and was on her way home to Michigan when she bumped into the Atlassian CEO in the Qantas lounge at Sydney Airport more than a decade ago.

He courted her by inviting her to an awards show and they soon became a close part of each other’s lives.

Mr. Cannon-Brookes had showered his partner in countless beloved tweets after getting down on one knee to propose in 2009.

Following their engagement, Mr Cannon-Brookes tweeted: ‘GET ENGAGED THIS WEEKEND! Beautiful Miss Annie said yes!’

That same month, he said he was looking forward to dinner with Mrs. Cannon-Brookes after a hard day at the office.

“Tough day at work and it’s only Monday. People are not easy. Annie’s birthday dinner will cheer me up. That’s what family is for, isn’t it?’ he said in another tweet.

In February 2010, after their honeymoon, the businessman shared another beloved post.

“Back to work after marrying the wonderful Mrs. Annie CB and a six-week honeymoon. Wow!’ he said.

A few months later, he shared his hopes for their future together.

A great book for anyone who likes to travel and has children. I hope Annie and I will be a cool traveling family in the future!” he tweeted.

As Mr. Cannon-Brookes climbed the Rich List ranks, the pair built a nearly $300 million real estate portfolio of mansions in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches and Southern Highlands.

The couple’s 3-acre Fairwater home in Point Piper, where the late Lady Mary Fairfax lived, was the most extravagant of their purchases.

They bought it in 2018 despite its intimidating $100 million price tag, which made it the most expensive home in Australia at the time.

“We love the idea of raising our four young children in this historic property, filling the house and gardens with love and laughter over the years,” Mr. Cannon-Brookes told Domain.

The couple owns two neighboring properties in Newport, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches,

In June, Mr. Cannon-Brookes and his wife bought a $14.25 million home in Newport, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, adjacent to the $24.5 million estate they purchased in 2020.

The five-bedroom home sits on a 3,000-square-foot lot and features a 1,000-square-foot swimming area.

The home was also located three doors down from another of their properties, which were acquired in 2020 for $2.35 million.

The couple also spent $2.55 million on a fisherman’s cottage off Great Mackerel Beach on the Northern Beaches, which is accessible only by boat.

Ms Cannon-Brookes told a journalist in 2016 that she and her husband were ‘lucky’ to share the same goals.

“One of our biggest is to provide our children with as normal an existence as possible,” she said.

On their 10th anniversary, Annie shared a photo from their wedding day and thanked her husband for being her “forever partner in crime.”

The reasons behind the split are unclear.

“They are both focused on their children as their number one priority right now,” a family representative said. “They ask that their privacy be respected.”
