Dejounte Murray will miss the Atlanta Hawks’ next game against the Boston Celtics after being handed a one-game suspension for contacting an official after Sunday night’s home loss.
Murray and Co. were defeated 129–121 at home by the Celtics in Game 4 of their playoff series.
And the 26-year-old guard was not happy at the end of the game. Footage shows Murray screaming and making contact with a referee after the defeat.
His behavior has been investigated by the NBA and now he has been punished.
The league ruled on Monday that Murray “made inappropriate contact with and verbally abused a match official”.

The clip shows Murray walking up to referee Gediminas Petraitis and saying something before bumping into him.
Murray can then be seen turning, pointing and screaming as he walked away with two individuals intervening and trying to lead him off the field.
“Any player or coach guilty of intentional physical contact with an official will be automatically suspended without payment for one match,” the rules read.
Celtics’ Grant Williams was handed a one-game suspension after contacting an official following his team’s loss to the Chicago Bulls earlier this season.
