The Oakland A’s released renderings of their potential $1.5 billion new Las Vegas stadium after the franchise reached an agreement for the site last week.
It was announced last Monday that the team had reached an agreement with Bally’s and Gaming & Leisure Properties to build a potential 30,000-seat stadium on the site of the Tropicana hotel along the Las Vegas Strip.
Now, the Athletic has previewed what their new home could look like, with a stadium overlooking the Las Vegas skyline and right by the MGM Grand hotel.
A view from outside the stadium shows it lighting up with different colors and a large arch going over it.
Regardless of the finer details of the new stadium, the A’s will desperately hope to get more fans into seats.

The stadium is very close to the MGM Grand casino and hotel on the Vegas Strip
The team had previously agreed to build a stadium on the other side of Interstate 15
Their average home attendance of 8,695 this season is nearly 3,600 fewer fans per game than any other team.
While the A’s appear to have a stadium deal, a possible move to Sin City has not yet been cemented.
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said Thursday a vote on their possible move to Las Vegas could take place when the owners meet in New York next month.
The A’s previously signed an agreement to also build a stadium on Tropicana Avenue, but on the opposite side of Interstate 15 that runs along the Strip.
They were expected to ask the legislature for $500 million in public funds for the 49-acre site that would have encompassed much more than a stadium.
The new deal, for which the team will seek nearly $400 million in public support, is a scaled-down proposal, but the venue is a shorter walk away for fans staying in hotels on the south side of the Strip.
The hotel sits on a 35-acre site that could now be used for a $1.5 billion, 30,000-seat stadium

The team was in negotiations with the city of Oakland to build a stadium on the waterfront, but shifted focus entirely to Las Vegas last month.
The A’s exclusive negotiating rights with the Port of Oakland for the Howard Terminal site expired last Friday, allowing the port to negotiate with other parties interested in using the downtown location.
Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao issued a statement following the Nevada Athletics’ purchase of land, saying she was disappointed that the team was not negotiating with the city as a “true partner.”
A’s president Dave Kaval has said he hopes to break ground for a new stadium next year and open the venue in time for the 2027 season.
The A’s have a lease at Oakland Coliseum through 2024, and they can play the 2025 and ’26 seasons at Las Vegas Ballpark, home of their Triple-A affiliated Aviators.
