At home with the couple charged with murdering hero surgeon Dr Michael Yung: Inside the suburban life of mum and dad accused of Gilberton home invasion death – as neighbour reveals what happened hours before
A couple accused of murdering a respected surgeon led a chaotic lifestyle and infuriated their neighbors with frequent arguments, slang and noise.
Kerem Aydin, 22, and Jacinta Davila, 27, were on the verge of being evicted from their rental home in Thebarton, in Adelaide's inner west, when they were arrested on Tuesday for the alleged murder of Dr Michael Yung, 61.
The former intensive care pediatrician died when the couple allegedly broke into his $2 million Gilberton home, in the city's north, in the early hours of Monday morning and then attacked him.
Ny Breaking Australia can reveal that just hours before their arrest on Tuesday morning, a neighbor went to the police station to report the couple.

The report related to a clash a neighbor had with Aydin on Saturday evening after confronting him about his nightly use of the garden hose.
The incident was not the first encounter that local residents had experienced with the couple since they moved into the property about four and a half months ago.
The couple's landlord was in the process of evicting them because they stopped paying rent four weeks after moving in.
Sources said the landlord sought advice from the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and was recently forced to call police to gain access to the property after being unable to contact the couple.
According to a source, Davila's mother Mary initially rented the property, which was listed for rent on Facebook Marketplace. However, she moved out about two months ago.
Ny Breaking Australia does not suggest she knew the rent was not being paid.
The revelation about the Thebarton property comes after Ny Breaking Australia revealed on Wednesday that the couple were evicted from a separate rental property in August for failing to pay rent.
Neighbors in Thebarton said they tried to do their best to get to know the couple when they moved into the property, but they didn't seem interested and mostly kept to themselves.
The couple did not appear to work or drive and appeared to lead a nocturnal lifestyle, as their household was typically quiet during the day but noisy at night, neighbors said.
One neighbor said the couple often had food delivered to their home, while another noticed other cars parked outside the property for long periods of time with their lights on as they waited to pick up the couple.
One woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said they seemed to have a few visitors when they first moved in, but the number of guests had dwindled over time.
However, one thing she said remained constant was the sound of the couple fighting, with topics ranging from their eight-month-old daughter to their dog.
βThe screaming was sometimes twice a week, and sometimes it would go silent for a week,β she said.
βHe hated her dog. She had it before they got together, and he didn't like it.
'A few weeks ago the dog tried to steal his food and he got mad about it. She told him, βIt doesn't like you because you're not a nice person.β
'Three nights ago they were arguing and she shouted, 'The baby is teething!'.

Their dog and other personal belongings β including suitcases, clothes and children's toys β were seen scattered in the backyard on Thursday
Neighbors also said they often heard the garden hose being used late at night.
One woman woke up at 1:45 a.m. Saturday to the sound of running water and the dog barking.
'I got up (went outside) and said, 'Would you mind turning that off, it woke us up.'
The woman said that the man gave unclear explanations about how to use his hose because his dog was barking at him.
On Tuesday morning, the irritated woman went to report the incident to the police.
Just hours later, officers arrested Aydin and Davila at nearby Torrensville Plaza, where they allegedly stole medical supplies to treat the young father's wounds.
Meanwhile, officers conducted a search of the couple's home, where police claim they found blood-stained clothes in the washing machine and glass in Aydin's shoes.
Local residents said detectives searched the property the next day, searching bins, collecting evidence and collecting CCTV footage from neighboring houses.
A neighbor said police seemed particularly interested in footage taken between 5am and 5.30am on Monday.

Workers at the plaza told Ny Breaking Australia the couple were in the lockable toilet (pictured) when they were reportedly treating Aydin's wounds.
Police will allege the couple broke into Dr Yung's home hours earlier and fatally assaulted him before leaving the scene.
The pair faced Adelaide's Magistrates Court via video link on Wednesday, charged with murder, aggravated serious criminal offense and committing theft with violence.
Aydin, who wore a bandage over his bruised and swollen left eye, did not apply for bail.
Davila, who cried during her performance, will return to court next Wednesday where Mr Jandy will consider releasing her on bail for house arrest.
Meanwhile, remnants of the couple's lives in Thebarton were visible in their abandoned home on Thursday.
The backyard was strewn with personal items, with a baby swing and clothes still attached to the clothesline, suitcases, a rolled up carpet and a mattress against the walls of the carport.
Among the mess you saw Davila's dog fast asleep on a dusty mat.
Residents said Davila's mother Mary, described by neighbors as an “absolutely beautiful” person, regularly visits the house to feed the dog.
It is understood that Mary Davila, who lives on a disability pension, is also currently caring for the couple's baby.
Aydin and Davila are due back in court in March for a hearing on the charges.
