Disturbing footage has emerged of a man who was punched while sitting next to his girlfriend at a Houston Astros playoff game.

The couple was attending the Astros’ ALDS game Sunday night at Minute Maid Park when violence broke out.

In video of the incident, the aggressor can be seen standing over the man in a bucket hat and pulling up his own pants before attacking him.

“Sit bro,” someone could be heard saying.

But that’s not what happened as the aggressor punched the seated fan and sent his head flying into his apparent mate.

The fan was met with a barrage of punches before retreating to the stairs.

But the violence didn’t stop there, as the fan in the bucket hat was repeatedly punched more, choosing not to fight back.

Other fans then stepped in to de-escalate the situation.

It is not clear what – if anything – took place before what was shown in the video.

The Astros would go on to lose 6-2 to the Twins on Sunday, tying the ALDS series at 1-1.
