Aston Villa are closing in on Nicolo Zaniolo’s loan deal from Galatasaray with a club offering a £3m fee and an option to buy the midfielder…while looking to cover for Emi Buendia
Aston Villa completes the lease with Italian Nicolo Zaniolo from Galatasaray.
Villa have offered a £3 million loan deal with an option to buy the attacking midfielder for around £19 million.
Unai Emery’s side are rapidly closing in on a deal for the 24-year-old just months after he completed his move to Turkey.
Crucially, Villa sporting director Monchi is on good terms with Zaniolo, having picked him up during his spell at Roma, and is looking to re-sign him.
Zaniolo showed promising glimpses of Galatasaray last season, scoring five goals in 11 Super Lig appearances. However, it is expected that he will leave soon.

Villa wants to hire him as cover for Emi Buendia, the playmaker who has suffered an ACL injury that will keep him out for several months.
They started the Premier League campaign with a 4-1 defeat to Newcastle.
