Aston Villa 1-2 Manchester United: Erik ten Hag’s side strengthened their Champions League ambitions with victory at Villa Park.
It took a while for Rasmus Hojlund to hit the ground running in the Premier League after arriving at Old Trafford, but the Dane is now well off to the races.
Harry Maguire rose high from a corner and whipped the ball towards the young striker, who deftly placed his strike past Emi Martinez to give United an early lead.
Villa continued their hunt for an equalizer after the restart and once again the breakthrough came from a corner, with Douglas Luiz leveling from close range.
The match looked destined to go down to the wire before substitute Scott McTominay again proved to be the difference maker, with his header once again putting United ahead.
