Aston Villa thought they had finally ended their winless run on Wednesday evening, but Morgan Rogers’ extra-time goal was disallowed in the 0-0 draw against Juventus.
After an unbeaten start to the league, following wins over Young Boys, Bayern Munich and Bologna, which was Unai Emery’s side’s last victory, they were ultimately stopped by Club Brugge last time out.
Rogers, who has been the breakout star of the season so far, only had the ball in the back of the net, causing the goal to be disallowed due to a foul on the Juventus goalkeeper, breaking the hearts of the home fans.
