Adrian Newey will be unveiled as Aston Martin’s new signing on Tuesday, confirming last week’s Mail Sport story that the esteemed engineering scientist has signed a £20m-a-year contract.
The 65-year-old will also reportedly acquire a 2.5 percent stake in the company, which is valued at more than $1 billion.
His move is the latest move in the sport as the Repton School-trained aerodynamics expert decided to leave Red Bull.

Newey has rejected offers from a host of other teams and has committed to a £20million-a-year contract
Newey HB drew up the designs that led the team to several world championship successes via Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.
He was previously the mastermind behind title triumphs at Williams and McLaren, and in total he was a key feature of 13 constructors’ titles with seven drivers.
Newey announced in early May that he wanted to leave Red Bull.
Ferrari, Williams and McLaren made eager use of his services.
