Assassin’s Creed Mirage won’t get DLC, but the director has ideas on how to expand protagonist Basim’s story

Assassin’s Creed MirageThe film’s director has said that he has ideas on how to expand the story of protagonist Basim.

Although it has previously been confirmed that the latter Assassin’s Creed title will not receive downloadable content (DLC) in a recent version. Reddit AMA revealed game director Stéphane Boudon that the team still has some ideas on how to add to Basim’s story (via VGC).

When asked if the studio would ever consider creating a DLC or new storyline for the game, given the positive reception, Boudon said: “We’re excited about the reception of Mirage! Mirage (h)is designed as a standalone experience without any DLC plan.

“However, we certainly have ideas about how we can expand Basim’s story. But as of today, no post-launch content is planned. Mirage.”

As for working on a new game starring Basim, the game director said there is more to tell about Basim, but the team would like to explore elsewhere.

“Telling Basim’s coming-of-age story was great for us, so yes, we still have a lot to say about Basim,” he said. “On the other hand, creating a game with so many limitations is a difficult task. practice and as a team we would also like to explore new horizons and have more creative freedom.”

In the thread, Boudon explained that Ubisoft will no longer be releasing major updates Miragebut said the team “will continue to monitor the game and listen to player feedback.”

After launch, the game received New Game Plus and later a new setting called Full Synchronization Challenge mode, which offered a permanent run of the entire game. These appear to be the only updates Ubisoft will add after launch.
