The downtown building was created in 2009 and designed by Robert AM Stern Architects
The building, which was completed in 2009, includes a fitness room with yoga and Pilates room, bicycle shed, children’s playroom, residents’ lounge, concierge and valet service.
Robert AM Stern Architects designed the structure with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg.
Famous residents over the years have included award-winning actress Hilary Swank, designer Marc Jacobs, Nascar’s Jimmie Johnson, and billionaire Leslie Alexander.
Alexander paid a whopping $25.46 million for his raw-space penthouse and sold it to “space tourist” Mark Shuttleworth in 2010 for $31.5 million. The New York Post reported.
Ambani is the head of Reliance Industries, owner of the Jamnagar Refinery, the largest oil refinery in the world.
India’s neutral stance on the Russia-Ukraine war has been reportedly profitable for Reliance.
The company buys crude oil from Russia at a low price, in part due to Western wartime sanctions – and then sells it processed to Europe, Southeast Asia, the United States and other countries.
Ambani helped his father with Reliance Industries in the early 1980s. The company was already active in the telecommunications, retail, petrochemical and refining services sectors, fincash reported.
In 2007, RIL became the first Indian company to cross the $100 billion mark in terms of market capitalization. Reliance Industries prospered under his leadership and Ambani’s wealth grew exponentially.
